Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This is a starting template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed before launch.
Agreement
By creating a StudyMeet account or using our app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate profile information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
Acceptable use
- Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, or discriminate against other members.
- Do not share exam content that violates NBME/USMLE policy, including recalled or reconstructed questions.
- Do not spam, advertise, scrape, or attempt to breach the service's security.
- Do not upload unlawful, misleading, or infringing content.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your content
You retain ownership of what you post. You grant us a limited licence to host and display it as needed to operate the service.
Subscriptions
StudyMeet offers a Free plan, Basic ($9.99/month), and Premium Gold ($19.99/month, including a 30-day free trial for eligible new subscribers). Paid subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
No medical or educational guarantee
StudyMeet is a tool for finding study partners. We do not guarantee exam results, match quality, or partner conduct, and we do not provide medical or educational advice. Meeting other members — online or in person — is at your own discretion and risk.
Independence
StudyMeet is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBME, the FSMB, or the USMLE program. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
